The Sun Farm Network solution is available for residential customers, commercial facilities, farms and rural properties, and faith-based facilities.  We are one of the largest and most active companies serving the state of NJ, and support a wide range of customer applications.

This program can only be offered to qualified customers, however, since not all properties are well suited to solar power generation.    The guidelines below will help you determine if your application is qualified.

Installation Site:  We can install your system on your pitched roof, the flat roof or your commercial building, or on a ground mounted system in your yard or field.  We can also install on ancillary structures such as a barn or garage.

Orientation:  For pitched roof applications, the primary area of your roof should face directly south, plus or minus 30 degrees.   In many cases, this means that when standing at your front or back door the sun would set directly to your left or right (refer to the diagram below for an illustration of the ideal orientation).  Similarly, for ground mounted arrays there should be good southerly orientation.  Orientation does not matter for flat roof applications.

Shade-Free:  The more sun your panels get, the more power your system will generate!  Ideally, the part of your roof where the equipment is mounted will be free of shade (from trees, surrounding buildings) for the majority of the day.

Energy Consumption:  The larger your power bill, the more value solar power may have for you.  Ideally, your facility should use at least 5,000 kwhrs of electricity per year; check your utility bills to see what your consumption is.  Many NJ properties easily meet this requirement.

Not sure?  Call us and we can help assess your potential for generating electricity from sunshine!   We will come to your home and provide a free, no obligation site survey.

What if I don’t meet these requirements?  If you don’t meet requirements for our standard offer, customized solutions may be possible.   Technical and cost factors may apply in these cases, but a Sun Farm Network engineer can assist with creative solutions.
